Have You Ever Been Tempted to Steal Another Man's Lemons?
For G's birthday, we drove out to Palm Springs. We stayed at the Orbit In -- a small modern hotel by architect and builder Herb Burns that we've long admired. Weekday rates, baby!
We were lucky to have Orbitinis with the new owners Kevin and Jinny. Jinny is in textiles -- OMG, incredible linens. Made me want to bonfire my bed at home. We, however, are enjoying this nice warm California drought. Even if we do have to ration our water. This Thursday, we're sending warm toasts to our cold-weather friends with a cozy, comfy kick of a cocktail. Put aside your leftover coffee Thursday morning for this recipe ...
