One Extra Spooky Beer
It was a dark and stormy night . . .
Okay, that’s not exactly true. When you live in southern California, pretty much none of your stories ever start out that way.
But with Halloween just around the corner and my senses tingling from watching a low-budget horror flick with friends, I was craving a more sinister atmosphere.
Fortunately, I had some Hobgoblin beer in the fridge that would match my mood.
This copper-red beer has a fabulous goblin on the front of the bottle, plus a nice roasted malt flavor inside, with just enough hoppy bitterness and chocolatey-fruity sweetness to cancel out my craving for Halloween candy.
Plus, it’s made in England. Can almost guarantee that it’s dark and stormy somewhere over there right now . . .
Here’s to witches, warlocks, and wickedly-named beers.
