Duck, Duck, Duck, Rabbit
I love it when people give me beer. Especially when it’s beer I can’t personally get my hands on here in southern California.
As great as the selection is here, I always have a sneaking feeling that the beer of my dreams is waiting patiently for me in a faraway land . . .
My most recent beer present: a very fine barleywine from some stellar brewers in North Carolina, a state I’ve never even driven through on the way to somewhere else.
The Duck-Rabbit Barleywine is my kind of beer. A nice malty brew with sweet caramel-orange flavors and a spicy-hops finish. I drank my single gift bottle playing online Scrabble. And lost miserably. I’ll blame the 11% ABV while I consider a trip to the southeast.

Hello from North Carolina. Duck-Rabbit turns out some very nice beers. I've had most of them, and overall, they are quite good. What sets them apart from the other locals is the body/mouthfeel. Silky smooth.
If you visit Farmville, also check out Cobb's BBQ for an Eastern NC BBQ experience.
